Those travellers looking for spectacular views, a relaxing car ride and unforgettable sunsets will want to experience the freedom of a road trip. But where to go? A recent study has revealed Cornwall as the most popular road trip destination in Europe.
Research conducted by Honda, explored the most popular road trip destinations around Europe, with three out of the top 15 list located in the UK.
Cornwall was revealed as the best road trip, beating dreamy locations like Tuscany and the Amalfi Coast.
According to the new study, three locations in the UK made it to the top 15 most beautiful destinations to be explored by car.
Those are England’s Cornwall, Scotland’s North Coast 500 and Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way.
Currently, there are more than 650 popular road trip routes across Europe, and Cornwall came out as the most searched.
The picturesque coast of Cornwall, known as the Cornish Riviera, has become a very popular choice for Britons this summer, as it has seen an increase in searches of 50 percent.
St Ives or Tintagel are some of the towns that can’t be missed while exploring the Cornish coastline.

Scotland’s North Coast 500 was another popular choice that made it to the best 15 road trip spots in Europe.
When taking the Scottish roads, it is recommended to allow at least seven days to fully enjoy the beauty of the Northern Highlands.
Travellers experiencing Scotland’s North Coast 500 route will start and finish at Inverness Castle.
In Ireland, the Wild Atlantic Way also featured in the top 15 list.
The spectacular route starts on the Inishowen Peninsula, on the West Coast, and ends in County Cork, in a small fishing town of Kinsale.
