Hand luggage can be difficult when travelling with such airlines as Ryanair and easyJet. For those jet-setting without hold luggage, it’s key to really slim down the packing process in order to fit everything in. Ryanair and easyJet both have strict limitations on how much passengers can bring into the cabin.

Travellers also need to make sure they stick to the liquids restrictions.
You are not allowed to bring any more than 100ml of a liquid in hand luggage.
This can make life rather tricky when it comes to toiletries.
However, thankfully there are ways around the problem.
It’s well worth investing in a number of solid alternatives, for instance, solid soap.
By taking these you won’t have to limit yourself to the 100ml.
This could prove very useful for those going away for a longer trip.
Another benefit of solid toiletries is that they are more environmentally friendly.
Solid soap, shampoo, conditioner and deodorant are easy to come by.
Solid moisturisers are a bit rarer but can still be found if you shop around.
As for toothpaste, solid tooth tabs and mouthwash tabs are available.
You can even purchase solid sun cream lotion.

If you don’t fancy going for solid toiletries there are other ways to beat the hand luggage liquids rules.
American car rental agency company Alamo advises decanting some of your full-size items.
“One hundred millilitres may be too much product for beauty items such as face wash, moisturiser and cleanser,” they explained.
“All you might need is a pea-size amount.”
Alamo continued: “Instead of buying travel-size toiletries, use smaller 10ml, 25ml or 50ml containers and decant the exact amount of product you’ll need for your trip.
“This is particularly useful for makeup products such as foundation or concealer.
“You definitely won’t need full sizes for the average vacation.”
