Apparently, you don’t need to leave the UK to visit one of the world’s best destinations.
Plymouth has been named as the third best place to visit in 2020.
The port city, located in southwest England, is a hub for foodies.
World-renowned chefs, including Marco Pierre White, have set up shop at the location.
It’s likely that tourists are also drawn to the setting because it is so picturesque.
It is enclosed by the rivers Plym and Tamar.
The romantic cobbled streets, country houses and golden sandy beaches are also likely to attract travel fans.
Galway is another destination mentioned in Conde Nast’s roundup.
The Irish city is likely to have been listed because it’s 2020’s European Capital of Culture.
Numerous events are taking place there next year, including an International Women’s Day march.
The harbour location is known for its lively atmosphere.
Traditional pubs offer live Irish folk music, while Michelin-starred restaurants Loam and Aniar welcome plenty of tourists through their doors every evening.
