Scoot appoints new agency in Australia
Edelman Australia has been engaged by Scoot – the low-cost arm of the Singapore Airlines group – as agency of record in Australia, following a competitive selection process in late 2019. The appointment will take effect from February 2020 and the contract will be for a period of one year.
Edelman’s remit encompasses retained services including reputation management and media strategy. Edelman will be working closely with Scoot in Australia and Singapore to gain share of voice in the market as one of the key low-cost carriers in Australia offering unparalleled access to Asia, as Scoot continues to expand its global network in Asia and beyond.
Mr Calvin Chan, Scoot’s Chief Commercial Officer commented, “Scoot flies to four points in Australia, including Gold Coast, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney, and over the last eight years have received tremendous support from our customers. We look forward to working with the Edelman team to further engage the Australia market, encouraging them to seek new experiences with Scoot’s growing network. We were impressed with Edelman’s creative thinking and strategic communications approach to our brief and hope to implement an ongoing public relationship strategy as part of our heightened commitment to the Australian market”.
