Al Hamra’s leisure and hospitality assets are subject to strict guidelines to prevent the spread of Covid-19
Ras Al Khaimah’s Al Hamra has opened its leisure and hospitality assets to customers, albeit with a new set of guidelines to protect visitors and staff from Covid-19, it was announced on Thursday.
The newly reopened assets include the Al Hamra Golf Club, Al Hamra Marina and Yacht Club, the Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah – Al Hamra Beach and Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah.
In a statement, Christopher Hewett, Al Hamra’s vice president – hospitality, said that the Al Hamra Golf Club’s new safety measures include “limited player capacity, single use carts, limit on players per groups as well as sanitisation of all carts before and after use.”
Additionally, body temperatures are checked upon arrival, with sanitising programmes and social distancing measures being implemented at the club’s F&B outets.
“We are also in the process of implementing the latest new F&B technology which removes the need of menus by allowing guests to view the menu, order items and pay directly from their mobile device,” Hewett added.
Al Hamra’s hotels have also been working with RAK’s Public Service Department to safeguard hospitality assets.
According to Hewett, the measures include “training for safe guest interactions, guest education programmes, elevated hygiene standards and revised operational procedures.”
The hotels are also in the final stages of implementing the RAK Tourism Development Authority’s ‘Stay Safe’ certification programme.
“The safety of our guests, partners and colleagues is of the utmost importance to us. We are grateful to all the government bodies for their tireless efforts and initiatives in ensuring the safety and well-being of residents, and to drive business continuity,” Hewett added.
